Sapphire Gymnastics was founded in 1976 in Hertfordshire which is twenty miles from central London. In 1996, the club moved into its first purpose-built facility allowing us to cater for a wider range of ages and abilities.
In 2014, we opened our second site in Hemel Hempstead due to the rising popularity in gymnastics. The club currently has over 60 gymnasts working in our elite programme and over 2000 members in our recreational classes, leading to us now being one of the largest clubs in the country.
Sapphire Gymnastics has had many successes both internationally and domestically competitions. With our gymnastics programmes constantly evolving to bring the very best to our members, we as a club are always striving to bring excellence in a fun and exciting way.
With over 100 staff, coaching a range of ages and abilities from pre-school to Olympic, There is a huge wealth of knowledge that is tapped into to ensure all of our coaches have the tools they need to make sure your gymnast is well care for.
Absolutely love this place! Every time I walk through the door I am truly inspired by the young gymnasts and their tremendous coaches who put their heart and souls into unlocking the talent these athletes possess! Furthermore, it is also one of the few schools that is willing to give adults a chance and I would even go as far as saying that it has been both a positive and life changing experience for me training at Sapphire for the past 6 months. I no longer have many of the flexibility issues I was suffering with previously and the strength gains I have made as a result are epic! I am very excited to see where the journey takes me!
My sons have attended the holiday classes this summer and have really enjoyed themselves. The team have been great in building their confidence and improving their technique.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the coaches for inspiring my little boy this year and giving a whole year of ‘Fantastic Gymnastics’! He’s absolutely loved Friday mornings- it’s his favourite time of the week and he always looks forward to his class (so do I!).
He’s gone from looking very much like a little hamster tumbling around with pink feet waving in the air, to within 3 weeks being able to find his way round the equipment with reasonable coordination, to something that looks really quite like actual gymnastics! We can’t wait till next term.
Thanks for inspiring one very happy little boy!
Fantastic club. My daughter absolutely loves it and they are all so great with the kids. They even awarded her school class mascot as one of the gymnasts of the week when it was her turn to take the toy home. She was chuffed not only that he was let in gymnastics but could 'join in' too. It's the little things Sapphire does which makes a huge difference to the kids.
My son is loving it here! They have all the equipment you can think of for them to learn on, he’s got amazing support from the team and other children in his group, he’s come so far already his confidence is beaming through the roof... I am one proud mum.
