International Medalist

Sapphire Gymnastics are super proud to announce that Alyeanna Rahim has her first international medal competing for England. Having been selected by the Head Coach of England, Alyenna flew out to the Salamunov Memorial Cup in Slovenia. Along with 5 other English Gymnasts, the England team took the Gold medal. Alyenna produced the crucial scores for the team, which placed her 2nd in the overall standings as an individual. Fantastic job Alyeanna!

Regional Success

Fantastic Results from our Sapphire gymnasts at the East Region out of age finals. With just the top three gymnasts qualifying from each age group within their respected counties, the standard was high and the atmosphere super competitive.

Gymnastics is back

As the new school years gets back into full swing, so does the start of the competition season for competitive gymnasts. Having had the summer holidays for additional training and upgrading their skills, this is the chance for the young athletes at Sapphire School of gymnastics, based at the Everyone Active sports centre in Hemel Hempstead, to showcase the hard work and dedication needed to be an aspiring gymnast.

Bronze for Ondine and GB junior team

Congratulations to Ondine and the rest of the amazing GB junior team mates, Phoebe Jakubczyk, Amelie Morgan, Halle Hilton and Annie Young, for winning team bronze at the European Championships! It is an amazing achievement just to get to the European Championships but even more so to win a medal.

Achampong by name, a champion by nature

To represent your country is often considered to be the pinnacle of what can be achieved in sport, to have the national anthem sung while you wear the blue red and white on your leotard. For Ondine Achampong of Sapphire Gymnastics, that became a reality when she was selected to be part of the Great Britain gymnastics squad.

National finals for the Sapphire gymnasts

The pinnacle competition for young gymnasts is to reach a National event where gymnasts come from all across the United Kingdom. Sapphire gymnasts Phoebe Peacock, Amy Price, Phoebe Boyton and Sasha Cherry managed to achieve this after qualifying through the regional qualifiers to be part of the East of England Squad.

Sapphire girls sparkle

After months of tough dedicated training, last weekend several gymnasts from Sapphire School of Gymnastics competed at the out of age East of England finals. They had previously qualified from the Hertfordshire county championships and so the girls knew that this would be a huge test of their abilities to compete against top clubs from across the region.

East Region National Grades 2018

On to Nationals!

After months of high intensity training, with practice competitions to help prepare, last weekend the East Region held the National Grade qualifiers. The top 5 gymnasts in each grade will qualify through to represent the East Region at the nation wide finals, a lot was at stake for the gymnasts and their coaches.
